Help for makin .Gif files

Hey, everybody, can somebody tell me which program is easy to use, effective and all in all good!?
I've been searchin around and gotta say that Blaze Gif Creator won't let me open .avi files and
Extromonious or somethin like that crashes all the time!!!!!!!!!

Usually I got a problem with pmin people, requestin shit from them without even knowin em..........
but thanks 4 tellin me who I can ask.........Since nobody else would help me............Even though there are so many people with .gif sigs and avatars on this forum..............
